Mesophilic Process and Kinetics Studies of Selected Biomolecules as Potential Enhancers of Biomethanization of Cow Dung in an Anaerobic Tubular Batch Reactor

Mesophilic biogas production and substrate decomposition is one of the significant limiting steps in generation. The rate generation quality often affect viability systems. This study assessed potential for process catalysis using powdered Sorghum bicolor L., Zea mays, Pennisetum glaucum. kinetics processes were studied. Experiments conducted 1 m3 tubular batch reactors, where batches dosed with various organic biomolecules. Results show that use P. glaucum L. S. reduced retention times significantly. Biogas commenced after first day digesters fed while Z. mays control occurred on two. biomethanation methane content enhanced. led to highest content. Findings reveal locally available biomolecules improved quantity.
